Multiplying the Harvest in Kenya


Isaiah 1:17 says, “Seek justice. Encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless. Plead the case of the widow.” This verse has been foundational to the call God gave us at Going Global Inc.

This is exactly what we see happening through our partnership in Kenya.


God has called us to come alongside pastors, churches, and ministry leaders as they live out this mandate in their communities.


Upper Room Grace Ministries

Peter and Ann Wanyoni lead Upper Room Grace Ministries in Kitale, Kenya. What began as a local  church has grown into a multiplying church movement with:


  • 8 church locations

  • An orphanage caring for 39 children

  • A vibrant children’s ministry

  • A thriving widow’s ministry


God is blessing their ministry in powerful ways, and we are honored to partner with them in what He has placed on their hearts.


Lunakwe Church Plant


In January 2026, Upper Room Grace Ministries planted their eighth church in a remote village called Lunakwe, about two hours from their headquarters. In just two months, more than 100 people are already gathering each week. The church building is simple. It sits on a dirt foundation that will someday be concrete. Families carry chairs from their homes. Worship rises with only voices — no instruments yet. But the limitations do not limit the move of God. The people are hungry.


Peter and his team helped construct a basic structure because the church had already outgrown meeting in homes. What started small is growing quickly. Across these villages, thousands are hearing the gospel, responding to Christ, and becoming disciples.


Providing Relief and Hope

The Masaba church location recently completed a concrete floor, praise God for the upgrade for this congregation. These simple houses of worship are reaching people who might otherwise never step into a church.


Peter shared with us that $25 a month helps support a pastor, allowing him to focus on ministry while caring for his family. What an incredible opportunity to invest in the advance of the gospel. It is truly fun and thrilling to invest in the move of God that is happening in the nations He has called us to serve.


Orphanage

January marks the beginning of a new school year in Kenya, and the 39 children in the orphanage are stepping into their next grade.


Upper Room Grace Ministries provides everything needed for them to attend school — tuition, uniforms, books, and supplies. Going Global Inc. helps support these large seasonal expenses, along with the ongoing needs required to care for these children throughout the year.

Nepal Mountain Village




Paul and his team have been sharing the gospel in remote mountain villages where there’re no nearby water sources, and children must walk half a day just to attend school. In one of these villages, where more than 80% of the population are women and children, they planted a church, and many have given their lives to Christ.


As they provide basic first-aid care, check blood pressures, and offer education on health issues such as diabetes, these medical outreaches have opened meaningful opportunities to share the gospel.


They help children stay healthy through hygiene education, and they build confidence by providing clean clothes and fresh haircuts. The church has become a place of refuge and hope where children are discipled and prayed over, receive trauma counseling, and are supported in their education.



Ministry School Graduation


Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. We thank God for the ministry school at Upper Room Grace Ministries, raising up leaders for the harvest. Would you join us in praying for these pastors and ministry leaders as they are sent across Kenya?

Food For Thought


“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done is secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6


It’s not if you pray, but when you pray. The implication is clear: we are to be people of prayer. In the secret place, God responds and restores. Your Father is waiting for you there.
