Andaman and Nicobar Islands: Church Planters’ Update

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” Matthew 28:19
One of the greatest privileges of partnering with Raja and Sheeba is watching Jesus’ command to make disciples come to life across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Several years ago, they launched Jeevan Jovi Bible College with the vision to raise up local believers who would carry the Gospel to their own people. Today, that vision is becoming a reality.
Graduates from the Bible College are faithfully serving throughout North, Middle, and South Andaman. They are planting churches, discipling new believers, leading children’s ministries, and sharing the hope of Jesus in villages where many people have never heard the Gospel.
Their ministry requires great perseverance. They walk long distances through villages, travel rough roads, cross the sea in small boats, and spend a lot of time visiting families, praying with believers, and sharing Christ with those who have never heard His name.
Recently, Raja visited several of these church planters throughout the islands. Gospel meetings were held in village communities where many heard the Good News for the very first time. Others experienced healing and found hope through the power of Jesus.

One of the most encouraging parts of Raja’s visit was seeing that the churches are growing, many beyond the space available to them. Many congregations currently gather in rented rooms or in the homes where the missionaries live. During some services, every available seat is filled while others stand outside doors and windows just to hear the Word of God. What a beautiful challenge to have.

These growing congregations are a reminder that God is building His Church throughout the islands. As more people put their faith in Christ, the need for permanent church buildings is becoming increasingly important. A dedicated place to worship will allow these new believers to gather, grow, disciple others, and become a lasting light in their communities for generations to come.
Please continue praying for these church planters as they serve the villages they have been called to.
Make the Need Known: Back to School

At Love Children’s Home, 100 children are growing up surrounded by the love of Christ. They have a safe home, a loving family, opportunities to learn God’s Word, and the blessing of receiving an education that will prepare them for the future.
In July, it is back to school for the orphans. Education is one of the greatest gifts they receive in this ministry. They are being prepared to become future pastors, teachers, business leaders, parents, and faithful followers of Jesus.
Before school begins, each child needs tuition, uniforms, books, and school supplies. The cost is around $200 per child to prepare all 100 children for the upcoming school year. Year after year we’ve watched God faithfully provide, and we’re trusting Him to do it again.
We don’t simply see this as meeting a need. We see it as investing in the next generation of leaders that God is raising up across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Thank you for praying. Thank you for giving. Thank you for making a difference with these children at Love Children’s Home!
A Haircut and the Hope of Jesus

Sometimes the love of Jesus looks like preaching a sermon. Sometimes it looks like giving a child a haircut.
In Nepal, one of Paul’s ministry leaders recently spent the day cutting children's hair at a slum school and church in a remote village. For many of these families, something as simple as a haircut is a luxury they can’t afford. It was a practical act of kindness that reminded these children they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
In recent months, however, life in Kathmandu has changed dramatically. The slum communities where the schools and churches Paul leads have been destroyed, forcing the urban poor to scatter throughout the city. While this has created new challenges, it has also created new opportunities to consider how we can continue to reach these communities with the hope of Jesus.
In July, a team of us will travel to Nepal to come alongside Paul and his leadership team. Together, we’ll pray, listen, and trust God for a strategy for reaching these displaced families and share the Gospel throughout Kathmandu.
We’ll also travel into the villages to encourage pastors and ministry leaders and visit the Chitwan Ministry Center to see the incredible progress God continues to provide.
Please pray for our team as we seek God’s direction, for safe travels, and that many would experience the love of Jesus.

Food For Thought
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His way in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.
Proverbs 3:5-6
We can trust God for insight in our lives, whether it’s making decisions on a job, relationships, health, children…you name it. We can trust God for heaven’s strategies. Jesus said we should pray like this, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
