This picture was taken by one of our partners on a ministry trip to the northern part of Kenya. They have been working with a church that is 90% former Muslims. In less than one year, the church has grown to more than 200 members. They are currently housing 20 young people that have been chased from their homes for converting to Christianity. The two women who minister there are examples of our partners who are on the front lines reaching the lost and filled with faith even in difficult circumstances.
In God’s eyes quantity is sometimes not as important as quality—faith more important than fear. Jesus pointed out that one is more important than 99 when it came to sheep. One brother out of many was able to transform evil into good and save a nation of people in Joseph’s case. And so it is with Going Global Inc. and those we partner with daily. Obstacles and opportunities come and they are dealt with. Rebecca in Myanmar says, “We pray and do what we know how to do! It’s how we birth and fix things here!” The following are a few current events we thank God for.
Myanmar – Our friend Abraham and the children in his orphanage have been praying for a van for transporting the children and running daily errands associated with the orphanage. It has been costly to rent one or hire a taxi. Recently God miraculously provided a van for his ministry.
Andaman Islands – 22 students just graduated from the Bible School in Port Blair. All 22 are ready to plant churches in the inhabited island chain. Last year 10 were sent out and are doing well. This means 32 new churches will be established the first two years of sending.
Nepal – Paul is working with a network of pastors and churches in the area west of Kathmandu. These pastors are working together to build up the local church in that area. Land has been donated to build a ministry center. Details of the three phases and a video about the project can be seen here.
Myanmar – Elijah, who ministers to widows, is very close to completing a church building on the property. The church will minister to widows primarily but also others in the village nearby.
Kenya – Kenya has been dealing with severe flooding. Our friend Pastor Reginah has had flooding in her ministry center and apartments. Funds have been provided so those living in the apartments are now safe.
We received an encouraging note from a family that was affected by the flooding in Kenya.
“I would like to appreciate you for your act of kindness. As a result of your generous support, my family and others, who had been displaced due to the flooding, have now found a warm and safe place to call home. It was challenging especially helping some of my clients who had also experienced similar challenges, supporting them, and going back to face the same at home, more so with a very young child. Your generosity warmed and refreshed our hearts during a rather tough time. My family - Judith, Nathan, Justin and I cannot thank you enough. May our Good Lord, continually refresh and increasingly bless you, to be a blessing to many more. Philemon 1:7, Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people. Barikiwa sana.” —Pastor Kefa
We are continually reminded that each person matters—the lives in northern Kenya, the orphan and widow in Myanmar, the church planter in the Andaman Islands, the 45 people who gave their lives to Jesus on the mission trip to Nepal at the future location of the ministry center, and a family that now has a safe home in Kenya. We are also grateful for each of you and every church that has linked arms with Going Global Inc. to support our partners around with the world with prayer, encouragement, and resources that helps them accomplish the call of God on their lives.
Grateful for you,

Orphans Rescued In Myanmar
We received this incredible update from Elizabeth at Love Children’s Home in Myanmar:
“A few weeks ago, we received messages from people whose villages were all burned down and they asked for help for the kids. We sent Nem Nem, one of our Love Children’s Home helpers, to get the kids from the forest. It took them a week to get back to Love Children’s Home.
Today, 19 kids arrived safely to our campus. It's been almost 4 years that they couldn’t go to school. We are so glad they arrived to Love Children’s Home safely, and that they are now in a safe environment where they do not need to worry about their next meal.”
Wow, talk about a wild story. Many of these kids have lost their parents, their homes have been destroyed, and they have been hiding in the forest for safety.
These kids now will have a community around them that will be the hands and feet of Jesus in their lives. Best friends will be made, they will be educated, receive healthy food and clean water—and most important these children will find salvation, hope, and healing in Jesus Christ.
One of the children that was rescued from the forest is needing surgery for a cleft lip and palate. We would like to give financially to help with the surgery. If that is something you would like to give towards, simply select the fund “Myanmar” and write “surgery” in the memo. You can give online at www.goingglobalinc.org/give or by mail.
Food For Thought
“God is trying to make us do our work as hidden people who are not in the spotlight. Some of us always want to be brightly illuminated saints with golden halos and the continual glow of inspiration. A self-assured saint is of no value to God. We are here to do the work of the world, and we are to do it with infinitely greater power because we have been born from above. All God wants us to do is walk by faith.”
