Jesus is the single answer to the future of humanity. All the problems we have in the world begin in the human heart. Whether it is corrupt governments, human trafficking, racism, poverty, and all forms of heartache that is in our world. It has to begin with our personal transformation into the image of God and each of us choosing to become the best version of what it means to be human. And instead of us just identifying the problems, we need to become the solutions. That is why I am so excited to be a part of what is happening in the ten different countries we work in at Going Global Inc, because I believe that good people can change the course of human history when they have courage and competency to make their areas of influence better.
My good friend Abraham is just this kind of man. He is a man of integrity and has a servant's heart. He uses his influence to serve others, rather than to be served. I love that. I met Abraham on my first trip to Myanmar. Here is his story:
I grew up at the orphanage Love Children’s Home since 1995 and went on to graduate from Disciple Bible College and Seminary, which was birthed out of LCH. I met my wife Esther at LCH, where she also grew up. We got married in 2002. Together, Esther and I worked at LCH full-time. In 2005 we spent one year in very remote areas as missionaries. After returning from the mission field, we continued working at LCH until 2019.
The Lord began to show me through the Bible that I would start another orphanage children’s home to love orphans and poor children. So in 2019 on the first day of May, we started Miracle Children’s Home with 13 children in a home that we rented along with 4 of our own children. Now by the grace of God, Miracle Children’s Home has 30 children, and we have been blessed with the financial resources to purchase our home plus the surrounding land which will be used to expand the ministry and for farming.
Our dream is that each child would know Jesus Christ and accept Him as their personal Savior, then through them they would reach our nation with the good news of Jesus. So we are teaching them, caring for them, feeding them, and sharing knowledge with them about Jesus.
That is our vision and why we started this ministry. Thank you so much, Going Global family! God bless — Abraham
Isn’t that an incredible story? I want to personally thank each of you who partner with us as we come alongside trusted local leaders, just like Abraham. Because of your generosity, we have helped this new children’s home start with success. Together, we can do a lot!
Blessings,
Bob Gustafson
Personal Story
Congratulations to one of our LCH young adults, Thwe Thitsa Ngein for finishing “Nurse Aide and Pharmaceutical Training” from one of the top pharmaceutical training centers in Yangon. She will be helping at LCH with medical assistance for the kids, in addition to teaching the kids at our homeschool.
Since the very beginning, LCH’s vision for the children has been “to have life, and have it abundantly.” Thwe Thitsa was brought to LCH in 2004 with her younger brother by her grandmother. She was only 5 years old, and now we love seeing her growing and thriving in life to her fullest potential.
Cuba
About 15 years ago I got the impression while in Cuba that the doors of the church would be open wide and never be closed again through the ministry to children. It was undeniably the Lord impressing this on my heart. Together with Karl Steinbrinck, we began to teach the importance of the Lord to children (Mark 10:13-16). Today Power and Light Ministry in Cuba constantly holds outreaches for children. They give children’s Bibles, share Bible stories, play games and give everybody a good meal. Thousands of children are being reached with the Good News of Jesus today in Cuba!
Thanks for supporting the work in Cuba.

Nepal Update
Paul, our partner in Nepal, is regularly feeding children from different slum areas and villages, encouraging and equipping local pastors in remote villages, providing clean water from the well at their ministry location, and tutoring children to help them succeed with their education. We are honored to work with Paul and his team as they move forward with what God’s called them to do. They are now running a second school (seen here) where they care for 60 children everyday.
Food For Thought
“God does not give us overcoming life; He gives us life as we overcome. The strain is the strength. Spend yourself spiritually, and you get more strength. Oswald Chambers
The strength to overcome is built up when we are in the strain of life, not the peace of life. We grow in the valley and not the mountain top. We learn in the struggle and not the easy victory.
